Job summary

The Hiring entity, Catering, seeks an experienced Facilities Manager to own the day-to-day facilities across two Oldham sites. You will manage buildings, plant, utilities and contractors to ensure safe, compliant operations within a busy engineering and production environment.

You will report to the Production Director, handle PPM scheduling, SLAs, audits and compliance, and travel between sites as required. This permanent, full‑time role offers a stable pension and regular daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Proven FM experience in engineering/manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of building systems and UK Health & Safety legislation.
• Experience managing contractors, suppliers and service providers.
• Relevant FM qualification (IWFM/NEBOSH or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of offices, workshops and storage across both sites.
• Oversee maintenance for buildings, plant and equipment.
• Ensure utilities and services (HVAC, water, power) are safe, compliant and cost-effective.
• Lead refurbishments, space planning and site improvements.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
