Job summary

Entech Technical Solutions Limited is recruiting an Engineering Estimator to join the Machine Shop team, delivering accurate quotations for subcontract machining work and supporting customers through the quotation process.

Working with Purchasing, Production Control and Sales, you will assess RFQs, review methods and costs, and help convert quotes into orders, ensuring on-time delivery and profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience in Engineering Estimating, CNC Machining, Precision Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related fields.
• Mechanical or manufacturing engineering background.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of CNC machining processes.
• Commercial awareness.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office.
• ERP/MRP system experience is advantageous.

• Prepare quotations from engineering drawings, CAD models and technical specifications.
• Review manufacturing methods and machining routes.
• Calculate manufacturing costs and margins.
• Obtain accurate costing information from Purchasing and Production.
• Assess Requests for Quotation (RFQs).
• Support order processing through the ERP system.
• Liaise with customers regarding technical queries, lead times and delivery dates.
• Support the successful conversion of quotations into customer orders.

Our client is a well‑established precision engineering manufacturer supplying complex machined components to demanding industries. They are looking to recruit an Engineering Estimator to join their Machine Shop team and support growth.

Role
