Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Engineering Design Manager to lead design input on multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects in the UK. You will work with project managers and clients to ensure designs are buildable, compliant and innovative, guiding consultants through the full lifecycle from concept to delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of BIM and CAD tools, and a track record of delivering complex projects on time and to high standards.

Qualifications

• Degree/HNC in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of design and management experience.
• Knowledge and experience of Building Information Modelling (BIM).
• Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or Revit.

Responsibilities

• Manage the contract with external design consultants.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams of engineers on project solutions.
• Evaluate designs and solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and design coordinators.
• Liaise with clients and project teams on issues, changes and risks.
• Ensure designs are buildable, compliant and efficient.
