TXM is excited to be working with a large rolling stock client in Leeds who is looking for an Engineering Depot Supervisor.

Our client is seeking someone to work a 4-on-4-off shift pattern (2 Days, 2 Nights) with a competitive salary. They are looking for an experienced Engineering Depot Supervisor aiming to grow their career, or an experienced technician ready to step up, expand their knowledge, and take on new responsibilities.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Lead and coordinate a team of technicians in maintenance, inspection, and repair of rolling stock vehicles, ensuring tasks are completed safely and timely.
  2. Supervise daily shop floor operations, allocate workloads, and provide technical guidance to resolve complex mechanical or electrical issues.
  3. Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety-first mindset.
  4. Conduct quality control checks and sign off on completed work to ensure adherence to engineering standards and specifications.
  5. Liaise with planning and engineering departments to manage priorities, minimize downtime, and support project schedules.
  6. Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to develop skills and maintain high-performance standards.
  7. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, faults, and corrective actions using digital systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo).
  8. Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to reduce recurring faults and improve fleet reliability.

This role requires knowledge in both mechanical and electrical work, from any heavy, hands-on industry experience.
