Job summary

Vertex Services Group Ltd is seeking a Contract Manager for our Central London operation. You will lead the engineering services team, manage day-to-day activities, training, workload allocation, and appraisals, with hands-on maintenance when required.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on maintenance experience, and proven ability to run operations on duty while ensuring contract terms are met across sites in Central London.

Qualifications

• Experience leading maintenance teams and allocating workloads.
• Proven track record with PPM systems and scheduling.
• Budget control and procurement experience.
• Hands-on maintenance experience in field operations.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage the PPM system on a day-to-day basis.
• Oversee permanent, temporary, and contract staff.
• Manage procurement and project work to meet contract terms.
• Control budgets including revenue and capex.
• Direct maintenance operations across sites and report on service performance.
• Ensure contractual and client requirements are met by technical elements.
• Provide escalation support and performance monitoring.
