Job summary

Invictus Group in London is seeking an experienced Engineering Contract Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a flagship commercial building. You will manage a team of engineers and technicians and ensure the highest levels of tenant satisfaction through reliable engineering services.

You will coordinate HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire systems, develop maintenance schedules with the Facilities Manager, ensure regulatory compliance, and monitor the engineering budget to keep costs

We are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Contract Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of a flagship commercial building in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the building's engineering infrastructure, managing a team of engineers and technicians, and ensuring the highest levels of tenant satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth running of the building's engineering infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire systems.
• Manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest levels of performance and productivity.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with tenants, ensuring their needs and requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure that all engineering works are carried out to the highest standards, in compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
• Work closely with the Facilities Manager to develop and implement maintenance schedules, ensuring that all equipment is serviced and maintained to the highest standards.
• Manage all aspects of the engineering budget, ensuring that costs are controlled and kept within agreed limits.

Key Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in a similar Engineering Manager role, ideally within a commercial building environment.
• Strong technical knowledge across a range of engineering disciplines, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire systems.
• Excellent people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers and technicians.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with tenants, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and control costs effectively.
