Experis is partnering with a leading Scottish organisation to hire a hands-on Software Development Coach. You will influence engineering practices across product and enablement teams, delivering secure, resilient digital services.

You’ll collaborate with teams to elevate capability, adoption of platforms and responsible AI-enabled development, with Edinburgh/Glasgow onsite part of each week in a hybrid UK role.

Qualifications

Hands-on software engineering leadership.
Experience with AWS, CI/CD, APIs and containers.
Cloud-native engineering, automated testing and IaC.
Dev platforms, ML/AI automation or agentic workflows.
Coaching agile teams and influencing stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Partner with teams to raise engineering capability and delivery performance.
Improve developer experience with pragmatic standards and self-service tooling.
Promote responsible AI-assisted development and AI tooling usage.
Reduce technical debt, security risks and resilience gaps.
Build engineering communities through coaching, workshops and knowledge sharing.
