Job summary

Vertu Motors Head Office in Gateshead is recruiting an Engineering Co-ordinator to support the Garage Assist Division. You will work with the Field Service Manager to manage the PPM program and reactive works on workshop equipment across the Vertu Motors Dealer Network.

The role focuses on scheduling engineers, coordinating subcontractors, ordering parts, arranging accommodation, and ensuring timely service delivery within SLAs.

Qualifications

• Experience with database management and data entry.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proven ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Able to use initiative to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Allocate Engineers to attend Dealerships in line with the PPM Program and reactive jobs within SLAs.
• Allocate specialist reactive works to subcontractors when required.
• Order parts for repairs via supply chain and expedite to Dealerships; plan return visits.
• Book overnight accommodation for Field Engineers when required.
• Track subcontractor delivery times to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate flexibly with the team to meet departmental objectives.

Due to continued growth, we are recruiting for an Engineering Co-ordinator to join the Vertu Garage Assist Division based at our Head Office in Gateshead. As part of the team, you will be working closely with the Field Service Manager to manage all aspects of the PPM program and reactive works, relating to workshop Equipment within the Vertu Motors Dealer Network. This role will be integral to the on-going quality of our Service Support we provide to the Dealerships across the UK.

As an Engineering Co-ordinator you will

• Allocate Engineers to attend Dealerships in line with the PPM Program including reactive jobs ensuring works are completed within the agreed timescales in-line with the department SLA’s.
• Allocate specialist reactive works to subcontractors when required.
• Where required order parts for repairs via the supply chain and expedite to the Dealerships and then plan any return visits.
• Book overnight accommodation when required for Field Engineers.
• Track approved Sub-contractors deliver services within the required time scales to maintain compliance.
• Work flexibly within the team to support the Departments objectives.

Salary £28,840OTE: £31,840.00
