Job summary
Stryker Belfast is seeking a Biomedical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering co-op to contribute to the Operation Engineering team. You will work with Test and Manufacturing Engineers to support business objectives and gain hands-on experience in GMP-compliant documentation and NPI activities.
You will learn process validation, continuous improvement, and digital plant initiatives while observing quality and EHS requirements on site in Belfast.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
- Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong presentation and written/verbal communication skills.
- Good organizational, problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Flexible and able to handle changing priorities.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Engineering leaders to meet business objectives.
- Apply engineering principles focusing on quality, service and cost.
- Gain insights on products and processes in a fast-paced industry.
- Develop and implement SOPs and GMP-compliant documentation.
- Assist in New Product Introduction processes for new products or processes.
- Support process validation activities and associated documentation.
- Identify improvement opportunities and monitor project results.
- Participate in system and process troubleshooting with teams and external agents.
- Engage in digital plant initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
- Adhere to Quality Management Systems and EHS requirements on site.
