Job summary

Crawford & Company Adjusters (UK) Ltd is seeking an experienced claims professional with an engineering background to handle a mix of high and low value engineering claims. You will assess, adjust and settle claims, visit sites, interview witnesses and coordinate experts to deliver detailed case reports.

Joining the team requires strong communication, attention to detail and a proactive approach to meeting KPIs and SLAs while maintaining high service levels for clients.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Recognised Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering qualification.
• Willingness to achieve industry qualifications.
• Quality focused with customer service orientation.
• Team oriented – working with colleagues across the business.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and acknowledging new claims and initiating investigations.
• Market for existing and new business lines to grow opportunities.
• Prepare case management plans, visit insured parties, brokers, claimants and representatives.
• Prepare detailed reports analysing policy, liability, quantum and future actions.
• Visit sites, interview witnesses, and prepare witness statements.
• Instruct and coordinate forensic scientists and other experts as required.
• Communicate with all parties, manage interim payments and interim reports.
• Develop relationships with clients and assist in pursuing new ones.
• Maintain and update files with relevant technical or legal changes.
