Job summary

TeacherActive Limited in the East of England is seeking an Assessor/Trainer in Engineering on a permanent basis to support apprenticeship learners. You will design engaging learning programmes, prepare learners for gateway and EPA, and conduct workplace assessments to meet industry standards.

The role will oversee programmes including Engineering Manufacturing Technician Level 4, Machining Level 3, Mechatronics Level 3, and Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technicians Level 3, while

Qualifications

• Relevant Level 3 vocational qualification and CPD are essential.
• TAQA or Certificate in Assessing Vocational Qualifications is desirable.
• Level 3 Internal Quality Assurance qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for a caseload of learners delivering training, coaching and assessment to complete apprenticeship.
• Act as main point of contact for employers and learners; build positive employer relationships.
• Provide high-quality training, coaching, instruction and assessment in College and workplace.
• Assess learners to determine readiness and create individual learning plans.
• Design training programmes and learning plans to prepare for EPA.
• Collaborate with employers to plan on- and off-the-job activities.
• Review learner progress with learners and employers; ensure safeguarding and best practice.
