Wigan and Leigh College is seeking an Apprentice Progress Coach to support apprentices throughout their journey. The role focuses on coaching, motivation, and dedicated interventions to help learners overcome barriers and achieve qualifications.

• Strong industry experience within the engineering or construction sector.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and group coaching to support apprentice motivation, progress and achievement of on-programme and gateway requirements.
• Develop clear action plans and SMART targets linked to knowledge, skills, behaviours, attendance and workplace engagement.
• Monitor apprentice progress, attendance and engagement using tracking systems and employer feedback, with timely interventions.
• Plan and deliver engaging personal development sessions focused on employability, professional behaviours, wellbeing and life skills.
• Collaborate with tutors, employers, curriculum teams, careers and student support services for holistic support.
• Act as a first point of contact for pastoral concerns and signpost safeguarding and wellbeing support.
