Job summary

Royal Navy is seeking an Apprenticeship Assessor to support engineering apprentices at HMS Sultan. You will manage a caseload, provide coaching, and maintain records to ensure successful progression through apprenticeships within the Royal Navy.

The role requires IT proficiency, administration experience, and strong organisational skills. You will visit training establishments and naval units to support learners in their workplace environment and work a 37.5-hour week on a permanent basis.

Qualifications

• Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent.
• Familiarity with the engineering industry is advantageous.
• Coaching or mentoring experience would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering apprentices throughout their apprenticeship journey.
• Manage a caseload of apprentices and conduct regular progress reviews.
• Provide guidance, coaching and support to help apprentices stay on track.
• Maintain learner records and apprenticeship documentation.
• Identify learners needing additional support and help them achieve completion.
• Visit training establishments, ships and naval units to support apprentices in their workplace environment.
• Ensure Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent.
• Utilise IT skills with Microsoft Office and inhouse systems.
• Carry out administration tasks with accuracy and timeliness.
• Multitask and prioritise deadlines.
