Job summary

Demob Job Ltd is recruiting an Engineering Apprenticeship Assessor to support Royal Signals apprentices. The role targets experienced electrical engineers from Army, Navy or RAF to mentor the next generation of military engineers.

You will deliver and assess Level 3 Engineering Technician apprenticeships from induction through End Point Assessment, ensuring learner progress and successful completion while maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have served within the Army, Royal Navy or Royal Air Force and have an electrical engineering background.
• Hold an HNC or equivalent qualification or experience within an electrical or engineering discipline.
• Previous training, instruction, teaching, coaching or mentoring experience would be advantageous.
• A teaching or assessor qualification would be advantageous, though candidates working towards these qualifications will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Deliver apprenticeship training through a combination of one-to-one and group sessions.
• Assess learner work, provide constructive feedback and support progression.
• Carry out learner inductions and ongoing progress reviews.
• Identify and support individual learner needs to ensure successful completion.
• Motivate, coach and guide learners throughout their apprenticeship journey.

Are you an electrically qualified ex-military engineer looking to come off the tools whilst remaining closely connected to the Armed Forces? I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client for an Engineering Apprenticeship Assessor supporting Royal Signals apprentices. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer from the Army, Royal Navy or Royal Air Force to use their technical knowledge and experience to help develop the next generation of military engineers.

You will deliver and assess the Level 3 Engineering Technician apprenticeship programme, supporting learners from induction through to End Point Assessment.

Candidates should ideally live in or close to Bulford, Andover, Aldershot, Fareham, Blandford, Colchester or the surrounding areas.

This role offers an excellent work life balance with Monday to Friday working, generous annual leave and an extended Christmas stand down, giving you approximately two weeks off over the festive period without using your annual leave entitlement.

• Previous experience of training, instruction, teaching, coaching or mentoring would be highly advantageous.
• A teaching or assessor qualification would be advantageous, although candidates willing to work towards these qualifications will be considered.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Confident maintaining accurate learner documentation and records.
• A learner focused approach with a genuine interest in supporting the development of others.

Engineering Apprenticeship Assessor Benefits:

• Salary £32,088 – £43,264 depending on experience.
• Monday to Friday, 37½ hours.
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
