Job summary

Sulzer Leeds facility seeks a Project Buyer to drive end-to-end procurement of engineered components and assemblies. You will manage purchase orders, build supplier relationships, and work with engineering and quality teams to meet delivery, cost and performance targets.

The role emphasizes supplier development, risk mitigation and strong stakeholder management in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Engineering/Project Buyer, Procurement or Project Management within manufacturing/OEM.
• Proven supplier management and negotiation skills.
• Experience with engineered components, fabrications, castings or machined parts is advantageous.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement for Engineered to Order products and raise POs to meet requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance, expediting deliveries and addressing shortages and risks.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times and terms to deliver value.
• Support supplier selection, qualification and development including visits to facilities.
• Collaborate with Engineering & Quality to meet technical sourcing needs.
