TÜV SÜD UK is seeking an Engineer Surveyor to perform statutory inspections of lifting equipment at customer sites across the Chester, Liverpool and Manchester area. You will liaise with the planning team to optimise routes and responsibilities include paperwork, data entry, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Essential criteria include a recognised mechanical/electrical qualification (NVQ3+), lift industry experience, EOR 202/SAFed LR1, and strong IT skills, with a full UK Driving Licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 minimum in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrable experience in the Lift Industry.
• Excellent IT skills with MS Office.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsabilités

• Carry out inspections/examinations of lifting equipment and accessories in line with statutory regulations (LOLER/PUWER).
• Manage stock control, data entries and day-to-day processes.
• Complete inspection reports and ensure quality, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Build rapport with clients and provide excellent customer service.
• Work with planning teams to ensure efficient routes for inspections.

We are now looking for an Engineer Surveyor to join our team of experts. You will be responsible for carrying out all Statutory Inspections at customer locations in a timely manner to ensure compliance of each piece of equipment. You will also liaise with the planning team to ensure effective and efficient routes for delivery of each inspection to meet our contractual obligations.

The scope of this role is Chester, Liverpool and Manchester area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carry out inspections/examinations of lifting equipment and accessories in accordance with all statutory regulations.
• To be actively involved in stock control, data entries and other processes as required from day to day.
• Carry out LOLER / PUWER inspection on various types of Lifting Equipment.
• Complete necessary paperwork in line with the companies set procedures.
• Building rapport with clients, providing excellent customer service.
• Complete site inspection reports in line with applicable Regulations.
• Adhering to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment regulations.
• Other duties as required.

Essential Criteria:

• A recognised Mechanical/Electrical qualification is highly advantageous (NVQ 3 minimum)
• Demonstrable experience in the Lift Industry.
• Experienced engineer with Mechanical/Electrical skills
• EOR 202/SAFed LR1.
• Excellent IT skills and experience of Microsoft Office, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• A team player with a positive “can-do” attitude who actively and positively engages with colleagues with a proactive approach to change and self-development.
• Able to work unsupervised.
• Full UK Driving Licence

• Engineering experience with Lifting Equipment.
