Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd in the London area is seeking an Engineer Surveyor to inspect lifting equipment such as forklifts, platforms, passenger lifts, cranes, and related assets. You will identify defects, prevent failures, and prepare detailed reports while ensuring compliance with LOLER and PUWAR of regulations.

This role requires a minimum Level 4 or HNC in Engineering, hands-on lifting equipment experience, and strong fault-finding skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 4 or HNC in Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with lifting equipment (forklifts, platforms, passenger lifts, cranes, plant equipment, military vehicles or aircraft).
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience in manufacturing, military, marine, distribution, or field service environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of lifting equipment such as forklifts, platforms, passenger lifts, cranes, plant equipment, military vehicles, and aircraft.
• Identify defects and recommend corrective actions to prevent potential, avoidable failures.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and communicate findings to customers.

• Deliver high-level customer service throughout the inspection process.

Location: Covering the London Area (must live within the M25)

Salary: Basic from £50,750 (includes London Weighting) plus car allowance and excellent benefits package. Shift: Days, Monday‑Friday, flexible working hours.

Job Role

Join a leading inspection consultancy as an Engineer Surveyor. You will conduct inspections of forklifts, mobile elevated platforms, passenger lifts, cranes, and other lifting equipment to identify defects, prevent potential failures, and prepare detailed reports. You will ensure all customers comply with LOLER and PUWAR regulations while delivering excellent customer service.
