Job summary

Pioneer Selection seeks an Engineer Surveyor (Lifting & Crane Equipment) for the M65 Corridor, Preston to Colne. The role focuses on inspection of lifting gear, defect identification and reporting to ensure compliance and safety.

You will conduct inspections, prepare detailed reports, and ensure clients meet LOLER/PUWAR standards while delivering excellent customer service on a Monday–Friday schedule with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 Engineering based qualification.
• Hands on experience with lifting equipment including forklifts, platforms, passenger lifts, cranes, plant equipment or military vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Inspect lifting equipment to identify defects and prevent potential issues.
• Complete detailed inspection reports for clients.
• Ensure customers are compliant with LOLER/PUWAR regulations.
• Provide excellent levels of customer service.

Job Title: Engineer Surveyor (Lifting & Crane Equipment)

Salary: Basic from £43,900 plus a Excellent Benefits Package

Shift: Days, Monday - Friday, Flexible Working Hours

Job Role of the Engineer Surveyor.

A standout opportunity has become available for a Engineer Surveyor to join a leading inspection consultancy. Our client is looking for Engineers with a background of working on or with equipment such as forklifts, mobile elevated working platforms, passenger lifts and cranes and looking for something different in their career.

You will be responsible for inspection to help identify defects and help prevent potential, avoidable defects and complete detailed reports. You will be required to make sure all customers are compliant with LOLER / PUWAR regulations and provide excellent levels of customer service.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Engineer Surveyor

• Minimum Level 3 Engineering based qualification.
• Hands on experience with or on different pieces of lifting equipment including forklifts, platforms, passenger lifts, cranes, plant equipment (diggers, dumpers), military vehicles or aircraft.

Requirements for the Engineer Surveyor

• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Mechanical engineering qualification, NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent.
• Experience working on or with various pieces of lifting equipment within manufacturing, military, marine, distribution or field service environments.
• Must live along the M65 Corridor - Preston to Colne

Desirable Requirements for the Engineer Surveyor

• Excellent knowledge of LOLER/PUWAR Regulations.
