Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking an Engineer Surveyor to join a leading inspection consultancy in the South of the UK. You will inspect Passenger Lifts and other equipment, identify defects, and produce detailed reports to ensure compliance with LOLER and PUWER regulations.

The role requires hands-on lifting equipment inspection experience, a mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, ideally HNC/L4), and willingness to travel or stay away from home during the week.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting passenger lifts and other lifting equipment.
• Live in the South of the UK and willing to travel or stay away midweek.
• Good mechanical fault-finding skills and reporting ability.

Responsibilities

• Inspect lifts and equipment, identifying defects and preparing detailed reports.
• Ensure customers comply with LOLER/PUWER regulations and provide service.
• Travel as required to client sites across the region.

Job Role of the Engineer Surveyor.

A standout opportunity has become available for a Engineer Surveyor to join a leading inspection consultancy. Our client is looking for a existing Engineer Surveyor who has experience of inspecting Passenger Lifts and other equipment such as forklifts, mobile elevated working platforms, cranes and minor pressure equipment.

You will be responsible for inspection to help identify defects and help prevent potential, avoidable defects and complete detailed reports.You will be required to make sure all customers are compliant with LOLER / PUWAR regulations and provide excellent levels of customer service.

Sector – Inspection (Field Service)

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Engineer Surveyor

• Must be an Existing Engineer Surveyor or worked within the Inspection Industry.
• Hands on experience of working with and inspecting Passenger Lifts.

Requirements for the Engineer Surveyor

• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Mechanical engineering qualification, Minimum NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent, Ideally HNC or Level 4 Equivalent.
• Experience working on or with various pieces of lifting equipment and minor pressure equipment within manufacturing, military, marine, distribution or field service environments.
• Live in the South of the UK and be prepared to travel or stay away from home during the week.

Desirable Requirements for the Engineer Surveyor

• Excellent knowledge of LOLER/PUWAR Regulations.
