Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd in West Yorkshire is seeking an Engineer Surveyor (Lifting & Crane Equipment) to perform inspections, assess defects, and prepare detailed reports. The role focuses on LO LER/PUWAR compliance and delivering excellent customer service in a field-service environment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with forklifts, mobile elevated platforms, passenger lifts and cranes, with a strong mechanical fault-finding capability.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 Engineering based qualification.
• Hands on experience with or on different pieces of lifting equipment including forklifts, platforms, passenger lifts, cranes, plant equipment (diggers, dumpers)
• Experience working on or with various lifting equipment within manufacturing, military, marine, distribution or field service environments.

Responsibilities

• Inspect to identify defects and help prevent potential defects, and complete detailed reports.
• Ensure customers are compliant with LOLER / PUWAR regulations and provide excellent levels of customer service.

ENGINEER SURVEYOR

Job Title: Engineer Surveyor (Lifting & Crane Equipment)

Location: West Yorkshire close to the Lancashire Border

Salary: Basic from £43,900 plus a Excellent Benefits Package

Shift: Days, Monday – Friday, Flexible Working Hours

Job Role of the Engineer Surveyor.

A standout opportunity has become available for a Engineer Surveyor to join a leading inspection consultancy. Our client is looking for Engineers with a background of working on or with equipment such as forklifts, mobile elevated working platforms, passenger lifts and cranes and looking for something different in their career.

You will be responsible for inspection to help identify defects and help prevent potential, avoidable defects and complete detailed reports. You will be required to make sure all customers are compliant with LOLER / PUWAR regulations and provide excellent levels of customer service.

Sector – Inspection (Field Service)

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Engineer Surveyor

• Minimum Level 3 Engineering based qualification.


• Hands on experience with or on different pieces of lifting equipment including forklifts, platforms, passenger lifts, cranes, plant equipment (diggers, dumpers), military vehicles or aircraft.

Requirements for the Engineer Surveyor

• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.


• Mechanical engineering qualification, NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent.


• Experience working on or with various pieces of lifting equipment within manufacturing, military, marine, distribution or field service environments.


• Must live along in West Yorkshire close to the Lancashire Border, ideally Halifax / Keighley

Desirable Requirements for the Engineer Surveyor

• Excellent knowledge of LOLER/PUWAR Regulations.
