Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd. is seeking an Engineer Surveyor (Lifting & Crane Equipment) based in Carlisle, Cumbria. The role involves inspecting lifting equipment, identifying defects and preparing detailed reports to ensure compliance with LOLER and PUWAR regulations.

You will work with forklifts, mobile elevating platforms, passenger lifts, cranes and other plant equipment, delivering high-quality service and customer support on a Monday–Friday dayshift with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 Engineering based qualification.
• Hands on experience with or on lifting equipment including forklifts, platforms, passenger lifts, cranes, plant equipment (diggers, dumpers).
• Experience working in manufacturing, military, marine, distribution or field service environments.

Responsibilities

• Inspect lifting equipment to identify defects and help prevent failures.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and ensure LOLEr/ PUWAR compliance.
• Provide excellent customer service and support to clients in the Carlisle area.

Job Role of the Engineer Surveyor

A standout opportunity has become available for a Engineer Surveyor to join a leading inspection consultancy. Our client is looking for Engineers with a background of working on or with equipment such as forklifts, mobile elevated working platforms, passenger lifts and cranes and looking for something different in their career.

You will be responsible for inspection to help identify defects and help prevent potential, avoidable defects and complete detailed reports. You will be required to make sure all customers are compliant with LOLER / PUWAR regulations and provide excellent levels of customer service.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Engineer Surveyor

• Minimum Level 3 Engineering based qualification.
• Hands on experience with or on different pieces of lifting equipment including forklifts, platforms, passenger lifts, cranes, plant equipment (diggers, dumpers), military vehicles or aircraft.

Requirements for the Engineer Surveyor

• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Mechanical engineering qualification, NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent.
• Experience working on or with various pieces of lifting equipment within manufacturing, military, marine, distribution or field service environments.
• Must live along in the Carlisle area or surrounding area

Desirable Requirements for the Engineer Surveyor

• Excellent knowledge of LOLER/PUWAR Regulations.
