Job summary

Speedy Group is seeking a Powered Access Engineer to join our Bristol depot, Monday to Friday, 07:30–17:00. You will service, refurbish and maintain powered access equipment to ensure safe, reliable kit for customers.

Based at the Bristol site, you will work with a team of engineers to refurbishment, inspect, and ensure health and safety standards before equipment goes back on hire. CAP registration is preferred but training will be provided.

Qualifications

• CAP registration preferred but not required; company will train.
• Experience servicing powered access equipment (Niftylift, Skyjack, Genie, JLG).
• Ability to estimate repairs with attention to detail.
• Experience in fault finding and diagnostics.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic drawings.
• Previous engineering experience in powered access.
• Support ESG initiatives (Decade to Deliver).

Responsibilities

• Service, refurbish, repair and maintain powered access equipment.
• Ensure safe and reliable equipment for customers.
• Work at Bristol site with engineers to refurbish and inspect kit.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
• Support ESG Strategy within the business unit.

Powered Access Engineer - Bristol - Monday to Friday - 07:30 - 17:00 - 45 hours per week

Powered Access Engineer

you will be responsible for the service, refurbishment, repair and maintenance of our powered access equipment. You will ensure that our customers are using safe and reliable equipment so that they can count on us to deliver customer excellence.

You will be based at our Bristol site working with a team of Engineers ensuring all kit is refurbished, checked and health and safety regulations are followed before they go back on hire.

What you’ll need:

• Ideally be CAP registered but not necessary as we will invest in getting you to the next level.
• Ideally have previous experience in working on powered access equipment such as Niftylift, Skyjack, Genie and JLG
• Experience in estimating repairs to be carried out with a keen eye for detail
• Experience in fault finding and diagnostics
• Able to read electrical / hydraulic drawings, understanding both systems
• Previous engineering experience within powered access
• Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
