Job summary

Mitie Bristol is seeking an Engineer – Multi Technician to deliver high-quality building fabric maintenance across the site. You will handle patch repairs, plumbing and carpentry, painting and decorating, and support safe operations.

The role requires practical skills, willingness to work on heights, in confined spaces, and to participate in an on-call rota, with a focus on safety and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in Maintenance / Facilities Management environment.
• Qualified in building fabric maintenance (C&G or equivalent preferred).
• Ability to perform a range of building fabric tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Undertake building fabric activities such as patch repairs, minor plumbing and carpentry.
• Perform manual tasks, including manual handling, heights work and confined spaces; participate in On-Call Rota.
• Carry out minor electrical/mechanical tasks as needed.
• Follow Health & Safety, Permit to Work procedures and Safe Systems of Working.
• Maintain accurate work-related documentation and logs of inspections and remedial work.

Job description

Role: Engineer – Multi Technician
Hours: 40 hrs/week
Location: Bristol, BS1 6QF

Role Responsibilities:

• Responsible for undertaking all building fabric activities such as patch repairs, minor plumbing and carpentry, painting and decorating.
• Capability to perform manual tasks, including manual handling, working at heights and in confined spaces as well as a willingness to participate in the On-Call Rota.
• Should have minor electrical/mechanical experience.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, Permit to Work procedures and Safe Systems of Working.
• You will be expected to complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time, keeping logs of inspections reports and remedial work.

Required Qualifications:

• Relevant qualifications required e.g. C&G or equivalent or a trade related qualification. (Good to have)
• Experience within a Maintenance / Facilities Management environment.
