Mitie Group plc. invites applications for a Field-Based Mobile Role in the Speke Liverpool area.

The Multi Skilled Technician will support mobile facilities maintenance across the Liverpool Blood Centre and related sites, handling building fabric, electrical, plumbing and general repairs. The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, 18th Edition, a full UK driving licence, and a proactive approach to delivering high-quality customer service while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance, facilities management, handyperson, or janitorial roles.
• Able to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance tasks (fire alarms, emergency lighting, water temp monitoring, flushing outlets).
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests and perform minor electrical, fabric, plumbing, decorating, and general building repairs.
• Maintain maintenance records, work orders, risk assessments and documentation.
• Support site operations with porterage, janitorial and general facilities duties as needed.
• Promote a safe working environment complying with health, safety, environmental and permit-to-work procedures.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with building maintenance, fabric maintenance, or handyperson experience who enjoys delivering high-quality customer service in a varied and rewarding role.

Role Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance tasks, including fire alarm tests, emergency lighting tests, water temperature monitoring, and flushing of little-used outlets.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests and complete minor electrical, fabric, plumbing, decorating, and general building repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, risk assessments, and associated documentation.
• Support site operations with porterage, janitorial, and general facilities support duties when required.
• Promote a safe working environment by complying with all health, safety, environmental, and permit-to-work procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities management, handyperson, or janitorial roles.
• NVQ level 3 in Electrical Engineering
• 18th Edition
• A good understanding of health and safety requirements within a commercial building environment.
• Ability to work independently, manage workload effectively, and complete tasks to a high standard.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience using computer-based maintenance systems and completing maintenance documentation.
• Willingness to undertake further training and develop multi-skilled capabilities.
