Vertiv seeks a Protection Relay Programming & Testing Engineer for MV/LV protection systems. You will program, configure, test and commission protection relays across ABB, Siemens and Schneider gear, ensuring correct protection coordination and fault-free operation.
You will work with IEC 61850, Modbus, Profinet, and industrial Ethernet, supporting FAT/SAT, site testing, and final validation of protection architectures. 7–12 years' hands-on experience is expected.
Job Description – Protection Relay Programming & Testing Engineer Position
The ideal candidate should be a complete Protection Relay Programming & Testing Engineer with strong hands‑on experience—not limited to relay software configuration.
He should be capable of independently handling the complete lifecycle of a protection system, including relay programming, protection setting implementation, logic development, secondary injection testing, functional testing, communication configuration, FAT/SAT, commissioning, troubleshooting, and final system validation.
The candidate should have a thorough understanding of MV protection systems, control and relay panels, protection coordination, industrial communication protocols, and the complete relay-to‑SCADA/EPMS architecture.
Strong practical experience with ABB, Siemens, and Schneider protection relays, together with Modbus, Modbus TCP/IP, Profibus, Profinet, and IEC 61850, is highly desirable.
Experience in MV switchgear manufacturing, system integration, protection engineering, testing, and commissioning will be strongly preferred.
