Job description
Job Summary

Identifies and resolves plant issues and acts as a liaison between the engineering team and other station departments. Maintains configuration control for the plant.

Responsibilities
  • Support Maintenance and Operations in resolution of plant issues stemming from significant events or complex plant problems.
  • Support and maintain Emergency Response Organization (ERO) qualifications and duties.
  • Interface with Maintenance and Operations for cost‑effective maintenance strategies; issue engineering changes (design changes and temporary modifications) to address emergent plant issues and equipment reliability.
  • Help support planning and prioritization aspects of the project life cycle.
  • Implement action plans from senior team members to address deficiencies via corrective action and work‑management processes; support changes in system configuration/design and design basis.
  • Develop engineering products in accordance with defined standards and procedures; participate in project teams for critical online system outages or refueling outages.
  • Serve on outage engineering support teams; attend training and maintain necessary qualifications.
Minimum Education and Experience

Education: B.S. Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or other engineering degree generally associated with power plant operations in the field of civil and structural design, or equivalent work experience.

  • Engineer I: 0‑2 years experience in nuclear power design, operations, or equivalent.
  • Engineer II: 2‑3 years experience in nuclear power design, operations, or equivalent.
  • Engineer III: 3‑4 years experience in nuclear power design, operations, or equivalent.
  • Senior Engineer: 4‑5 years experience in nuclear design, operations, or equivalent.
  • Senior Lead: 6+ years experience in nuclear design, operations, or equivalent.
Certificates and Licenses

Desired: SRO license or certification on a PWR or BWR; Professional Engineering license.
