Job summary

Finning (UK) Ltd. is hiring an Engine and Transmission Engineer based in Leeds, working at our Component Rebuild Centre. You will strip down, inspect, rebuild and test engines, generators and transmission systems to Finning standards and customer requirements.

The role offers a comprehensive package including a salary of £37,100–£42,200, 25 days holiday, annual bonus, tool allowance, healthcare, share scheme, pension up to 7%, life insurance, laptop and phone, CAT training, and overtime.

Qualifications

• Background in plant machinery or similar industries (HGV/agriculture/power generation).
• Experience in assembly/disassembly of diesel engines and components.
• Apprentice trained or 5+ years in quality service environment within a similar industry.
• Licence to drive reach trucks required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment to confirm repair scope and costs.
• Run standard diagnosis tests for cost estimates and warranties.
• Create parts list for proposed work.
• Overhaul/repair/refurbish machines per plan.
• Test machines to ensure performance.
