Job summary

V.Group on Azamara Cruises seeks several experienced Wipers for a short-term Dry Dock Riding Team assignment aboard AZAMARA QUEST. Embarkation is 31 October 2026, contract is 1 month, and work is performed shipboard during the dry dock period.

Responsibilities include engine room maintenance, painting, and general engine duties with strict adherence to STCW and safety rules. Fluent English is required; physical demands are listed.

Qualifications

• Valid STCW 95 certification and Engine Watch Rating A-III/4.
• Good knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, operation and maintenance of vessel machinery.
• Experience stripping engines down and rebuilding.
• Physically and medically fit; moral integrity required.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning and painting of machinery and engine room spaces.
• Assists Engineers with overhauls of engines and auxiliaries.
• Performs repairs, welding, and lathe operations as directed.
• Ensures spares/tools are protected from damage; maintains cleanliness.
• Keeps supervisors informed of progress and issues.
• Observes safety and reports safety concerns.
