Job summary

Engine Hub is expanding and we’re hiring a Vehicle Mechanic/Engine Technician to join our engine team in Kings Langley. You’ll work on engine removal, reconditioning and related diagnostics in a busy workshop.

The role focuses on hands‑on mechanical work with engines daily, offering training and development in engine-building and machining, plus a stable full-time permanent position with competitive weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience as a vehicle mechanic or engine technician.
• Experience removing and installing engines.
• Good knowledge of modern petrol and diesel engines.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with timing belts and timing chains.
• Full UK driving license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Remove and install engines from cars and commercial vans.
• Strip engines and identify failed or damaged components.
• Rebuild and fit reconditioned engines.
• Diagnose mechanical and engine faults.
• Carry out timing belt/chain work and seal replacements.
• Road test vehicles and carry out final checks.
