Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking a Vehicle Engine Rebuilder to work in South Gloucestershire, handling engines from vintage to modern classics. A strong hands-on background in engine building is essential, with experience in diagnosing faults and compiling build records.

The role requires a UK driving license and a commitment to meticulous workshop practice. The position offers a 45-hour week within 7:00am–5:00pm hours, a competitive salary (£35,000–£55,000 depending on experience), and

Qualifications

• Extensive hands‑on experience building automotive engines.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control in a busy workshop.

Responsibilities

• Strip, assess, and fully build car engines, from pre-war vintages to modern classics.
• Diagnose, report in detail and rectify faults.
• Calculate cam/ignition timing and compression ratios, etc.
• Read and interpret technical drawings.
• Keep meticulous build notes and records.
• Attend and support with dynamometer and rolling road testing.
