Job summary

The Creative Assembly is seeking an Engine QA Analyst in Horsham, West Sussex to lead testing of graphics engine features and bug fixes. You will work within the Graphics development team, collaborating with Core Technology, Tech Art, Tools, and QA to plan and execute testing across engines, tools, and in-game systems.

This role requires strong QA experience in game development, a disciplined approach to testing, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

Proven QA experience within game development or similar software testing.
Experience in a technical QA role in games or related software.
Ability to self-manage workload and set testing priorities.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Excellent communication, clear documentation and reporting.
Methodical, structured issue investigation and process adherence.
Experience working in Agile environments.
Passion for video games and contributing to development.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed testing of new and updated graphics engine features, covering functionality, performance, and stability.
Design, execute, and maintain test plans tailored to engine features and in-game systems.
Conduct milestone test sweeps, identify regressions and performance issues.
Collaborate with developers to identify automation opportunities and integrate checks.
Diagnose and triage complex technical issues, producing clear bug reports and root-cause analysis.
Work with Engine, Tech Art, Tools, and QA teams to understand workflows and dependencies.
Act as a point of contact for graphics testing and share best practices.
Represent Engine QA in graphics meetings and agile ceremonies.
Produce clear, concise reporting for stakeholders and contribute to QA process improvements.
