Job summary

Halian Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a QA Engineer who can gain an in-depth understanding of the product, related customer processes and governance, and who has a passion for creating complex testing solutions to continuously improve quality.

You will own end-to-end testing across multiple releases, set up and maintain test environments, design comprehensive manual test scripts, and provide accurate effort estimates for testing cycles, all within a hybrid working model.

Qualifications

• 5+ years QA experience in a SaaS environment.
• Proficiency in manual and automation testing techniques.
• Experience with ALM Octane and JIRA.

Our client, a leading SaaS company, are looking for a QA Engineer. You will have the ability to get an in-depth understanding of the operation of the product, related customer processes and governance procedures as well as a passion for creating complex testing solutions and for continuously improving the quality of the product.

Key Responsibilities

• Managed end-to-end testing activities, including functional, regression, and system testing across multiple releases.
• Applied a proactive and analytical approach to testing, identifying issues beyond standard "happy path" scenarios.
• Set up, configured, and maintained test environments to support effective and efficient testing cycles.
• Designed, developed, and maintained comprehensive manual test scripts and test cases.
• Assessed the regression impact of release changes and planned testing activities accordingly to mitigate risk.
• Provided accurate effort estimates for user story testing, regression testing, and release cycles.

Requirements

• 5+ years QA experience in a SaaS environment
• Proficiency in manual & Automation testing techniques and methodologies
• Experience of using tools such as ALM Octane, JIRA

This is a full-time, permanent position with a hybrid working model, requiring 3 days per week onsite in Wokingham and 2 days working from home.
