Aspire People is seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor to join a well-established secondary school in the Daventry area. The role involves supervising classes during short-term absence, delivering pre-prepared materials, and ensuring students stay engaged and complete work set by teachers.

The ideal candidate will have experience with children or young people, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and excellent behaviour and organisational abilities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.

• Ability to manage a classroom and maintain discipline.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across a range of subjects during short-term absences.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and keep students on task.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and manage behaviour.
• Support students with learning and answer general questions as appropriate.
• Ensure students follow school policies and classroom expectations.
• Report issues to teaching staff and assist with general classroom duties.
