Marchant Recruitment is seeking a Geography Teacher for a secondary school in Surrey. You will plan and deliver Geography lessons for KS3 and KS4, building knowledge of environments, map skills and physical/human processes.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
• Experience teaching Geography at secondary level.
• Strong knowledge of KS3 and KS4 Geography curriculum.
• Confidence teaching geographical enquiry, case studies and exam techniques.
• Good classroom management and organisational skills.
• Commitment to supporting students' academic progress.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teach topics such as urban environments, climate, ecosystems, development and hazards.
• Develop map-reading, data interpretation and geographical enquiry skills.
• Prepare pupils for GCSE assessments and examinations.
• Use maps, graphs and digital resources to support learning.
• Adapt lessons to meet diverse learner needs.
• Assess progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Encourage discussion of environmental challenges and global issues.
• Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and participation.
• Contribute to departmental planning and teaching resources.
