Marchant Recruitment is helping a high-performing secondary academy in Bishop's Stortford find a Geography Teacher (KS3–KS5). This full-time, permanent role starts January 2027.

The position requires QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification and a solid passion for geography and classroom leadership. The successful candidate will deliver physical and human geography, lead fieldwork and enquiry, and prepare students for GCSE and A‑Level success.

Qualifications

• Applicants must hold QTS or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Demonstrates strong knowledge of geographical concepts, case studies and assessment requirements.
• Ability to develop students' data interpretation and evidence-based argumentation.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum Delivery: Teach physical and human geography, including urban environments, climate systems and global development.
• Fieldwork and Enquiry: Develop data collection, interpretation, mapping and geographical investigation skills.
• Examination Preparation: Deliver GCSE and A-Level revision focusing on case studies and exam technique.
• Contemporary Geography: Connect classroom learning to current global events and environmental issues.
