Job summary

Superior Healthcare is seeking Healthcare Support Workers to assist a young client with complex care needs in her family home. This role focuses on person-centred care, encouraging engagement, routine, and meaningful interaction.

Caregivers should be warm, confident, and energetic, comfortable around pets, and able to follow the client’s lead for activities. Training in tracheostomy care is provided with NVQ/Diploma development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months UK healthcare experience.
• Full UK driving licence is preferred.
• Confident, engaging and emotionally intelligent approach.
• Comfortable working in a family home with pets.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care.
• Support communication using lip reading and Makaton.
• Encourage and participate in activities (arts, crafts, reading).
• Promote independence, choice and emotional wellbeing.
• Respond to communication cues and build rapport.
• Support clinical needs (including tracheostomy care if trained).
