Job summary

Dove Tree House in Exeter, part of Stonehaven Healthcare Ltd, seeks a Wellbeing & Activities Co-ordinator to lead engaging activities and a thriving volunteer programme for residents. The role involves coordinating internal and external events, individual engagement, and community integration.

You will work closely with care teams, ensure records are kept, and support residents across a range of abilities while fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and caring nature.
• Ability to organise activities.
• Outgoing and sociable with residents and staff.
• It literacy and comfort with care systems.
• Strong communication skills with residents and families.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Current driving licence and DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities and volunteer programme within the home.
• Communicate activities to residents, staff and external providers.
• Introduce suitable activities for older people to promote independence.
• Identify local activity options to help residents integrate with the community.
• Engage with external providers to plan events and projects.
• Maintain daily records of participation and outcomes in care notes.
• Offer one-to-one engagement for residents unable to join group events.
• Gather feedback from residents and relatives to plan monthly calendars.
• Encourage use of outdoor spaces and prepare rooms/equipment for events.
• Plan resident trips and support across the activities programme.
