Job Title: Engagement Officer - North Nottinghamshire Diabetic Eye Screening Programme

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills to join the programme as an Engagement Officer.

This full-time role (37.5 hours/week) is based at Kings Mill Hospital, Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. The post holder will need to travel to external venues and will have line management responsibility for designated administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage the monthly electronic patient data transfer via GP2DRS from GP practices to the screening programme.
2. Work closely with GP practices to maintain database accuracy and update them on DNR rates and patient screening uptake.
3. Demonstrate high-level communication skills to support the Diabetic Eye Screening team, including working with patients, healthcare professionals, and community groups to reduce health inequalities and improve access.
4. Identify vulnerable patients and address health inequalities.
5. Analyze data and generate reports to address inequalities and low screening uptake, presenting findings to multidisciplinary teams and commissioners.
6. Undertake patient satisfaction surveys.
7. Promote diabetic eye screening through external events, website updates, and social media.
8. Line manage administration staff.
