Job summary

Esteem Valley Academy is seeking an Engagement Officer to support pupils with social, emotional and learning needs. You will work across three sites, liaising with families and colleagues to re-engage students with education and build confidence.

The role emphasises safeguarding responsibilities and a flexible, caring approach to contribute to the school's inclusive culture and student welfare.

Qualifications

• Support students with social, emotional, behavioural and learning needs to re-engage with education.
• Collaborate with pupils, families and colleagues to promote welfare and progress.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with pupils to re-engage with learning and build confidence.
• Support families and colleagues in delivering inclusive education.
• Contribute to safeguarding and the wellbeing of students on a daily basis.

Job description

Job Title: Engagement Officer

Location: Esteem Valley Academy, across 3 sites at DE7 8PF, DE7 4HD and NG10 3GN

Grade/Scale: Derbyshire Grade 8, Points 12-15

Contract: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (Term time only)
