Job summary

Ashlynn Grange Care Home in Peterborough is seeking an Activities Coordinator (Lifestyles Coordinator) to support a vibrant, person-centred activities programme for residents. The role involves collaborating with the care team to ensure activities are meaningful and engaging for all residents.

The post is 30 hours per week on a rota from Monday to Sunday, with a competitive £12.71 per hour. An induction is provided and the home emphasises a supportive environment and resident-centred care.

Qualifications

• Experience organising and scheduling programmes of events or activities, ideally within a healthcare environment.
• Excellent communication skills with a genuine passion for enhancing residents' lives.
• Knowledge of dementia is highly advantageous.
• Proven track record for leading, empowering, supporting & motivating a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering a meaningful activities programme throughout the home, based on person-centred care principles.
• Champion person-centred care to empower residents to make and continue lifestyle choices.
• Actively engage with residents in conversation and meaningful occupation while respecting dignity and individual needs.
