Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an Engagement Consultant to deliver stakeholder engagement, public consultations and communications programmes across a diverse portfolio. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to help clients communicate effectively, gather feedback and support informed decision‑making.

You’ll act as a trusted advisor, shaping engagement strategies, coordinating events and developing accessible communications for communities across the UK and internationally, with

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in communications, engagement, consultation or public affairs.
• Ability to translate complex information into clear, plain-English content.
• Experience producing communication materials such as newsletters, websites, fact sheets or brochures.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Create clear, engaging communications to help communities understand projects and impacts.
• Support delivery of public consultations, stakeholder engagement programmes and community relations.
• Organise and coordinate engagement activities including events, exhibitions, workshops, webinars and surveys.
• Analyse feedback and stakeholder insights, present findings with recommendations.
• Develop engagement materials such as websites, brochures, fact sheets and maps.
• Provide communications support to projects across the UK and internationally.
• Work with project teams to deliver activities on time and within budget.
• Contribute to development of engagement strategies, plans and reporting.
