Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an Engagement Consultant to lead stakeholder engagement, public consultations and communication programmes across a diverse project portfolio. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to help clients communicate effectively, gather insights and support informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified or equivalent in communications, engagement, consultation, public affairs or related field.
• Strong written communication skills, able to translate complex information into plain-English content.
• Experience producing communication materials such as newsletters, websites, fact sheets or stakeholder updates.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Collaborative approach and the confidence to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrable experience in communications, engagement or stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Create clear, engaging and accessible communications for communities and stakeholders.
• Support delivery of public consultations, stakeholder engagement programmes and community relations initiatives.
• Organise and coordinate engagement activities, events, exhibitions, workshops, webinars and surveys.
• Analyse consultation feedback and stakeholder insights, identify key themes and present findings.
• Develop engagement materials such as websites, virtual platforms, brochures, fact sheets, posters and maps.
• Provide communications and engagement support to projects across the UK and internationally.
• Work with project teams to ensure engagement activities are delivered on time and within budget.
• Contribute to development of engagement strategies, plans and reporting.
