North Star 265 is seeking an Engagement Lead to head the engagement team and support pupils with SEMH needs, safeguarding, and personalised learning plans. You will work with SLT, teachers, families, and external agencies to promote inclusive engagement and academic participation in a safe, supportive environment.

Responsibilities include supervising tutors, recording behaviour and engagement data, developing targeted interventions, contributing to staff training, and ensuring smooth daily

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of SEMH needs and effective support strategies.
• Knowledge of safeguarding principles and procedures.
• Ability to create and adapt personalised curriculum and engagement plans.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Empathy, patience and resilience under pressure.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, families and external professionals.
• Good IT skills for recording, monitoring and reporting.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and manage the school engagement team.
• Work with SLT to enable students to overcome barriers to learning with consistent support.
• Record and manage behaviour data for individuals and the whole school.
• Support students to raise achievement, attendance and behaviour standards.
• Contribute to staff training and development, and provide guidance and induction programmes.
• Lead on safeguarding concerns in line with school policy and act as a key contact.
• Promote positive behaviour using restorative and therapeutic approaches.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop best practice and share it across the school.
