Job summary

Ofcom is seeking a senior enforcement professional to deliver projects and lead multidisciplinary teams in assessing consumer and competition harm. You will gather and analyse evidence to inform enforceable policy interventions and represent Ofcom in meetings with stakeholders and investigated companies.

Qualifications

• Project management skills to organise tasks, set clear goals, manage resources effectively.
• Ability to build and maintain constructive working relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Ability to engage with external stakeholders in a fair and professional way.
• Ability to lead and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong written communication and drafting skills.
• Experience analysing different types of evidence, identifying key issues, and translating findings into well-reasoned recommendations.
• IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Deliver enforcement projects and casework to agreed timetables and high quality.
• Lead multidisciplinary case teams.
• Define work scope and identify potential consumer or competition harm.
• Gather and analyse evidence to assess compliance.
• Use resources effectively and manage risks.
• Produce written documents and materials for internal and external audiences.
• Input to policy development to help design enforceable policy interventions.
• Develop proactive strategies to encourage stakeholder compliance with remedies.
• Develop working relationships with Ofcom policy, legal, and operational teams.
• Maintain fair and professional relationships with external stakeholders, including investigated companies and public bodies.
• Represent Ofcom’s position at meetings.
• Set out key learnings for industry and Ofcom, communicate what good compliance looks like, and explain implications of non-compliance.
