Job summary

Ofcom is seeking a Senior Associate for the Infrastructure and Connectivity Group to oversee regulatory supervision under the Telecommunications Security Act (2021). The role requires in-depth knowledge of telecom providers, security, and resilience, with a focus on ensuring compliance and effective policy implementation.

Qualifications

• Hold or be prepared to obtain (in the role) a UK Cyber Security Council accreditation and maintain UK security clearance or undergo vetting.
• Mandatory requirement for the role as stated in the qualifications section.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a supervisory program under the TSA framework.
• Support compliance monitoring with annual reporting to the SOS for DSIT.
• Engage with telecoms providers to assess TSA obligations and implementation.
• Provide technical support to enforcement activities related to security and resilience.
• Coordinate with industry, Government, and other agencies to align policy goals.
