Job summary

Middlesbrough Council’s Public Protection Service is expanding its Private Sector Housing function to drive up housing standards and implement the Renters' Rights Act 2025.

We are looking for an Investigations and Enforcement Officer with strong investigative skills to investigate complaints, gather evidence, conduct interviews, prepare case files and take enforcement action in line with legislation and council policies. Please note the council does not sponsor visas.

• Experience in investigating complaints, gathering evidence, conducting interviews, and preparing case files.
• Ability to take enforcement action in line with legislation and Council policies.
