Job summary

Galvanize, a London-based asset manager, seeks an Analyst to research public companies aligned with the energy transition. You will conduct bottom-up analysis, build models, and develop compelling investment theses for a long-only portfolio.

You will engage with management, prepare memoranda, and collaborate with the global equities and impact teams. The role sits in a hybrid London office with travel to conferences and offices as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in corporate finance, private equity, public equity research, investment banking, or strategy consulting.
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Understanding of financial statements and valuation methods.
• Ability to articulate and defend investment theses.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental, bottom-up research on publicly listed companies.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuation frameworks, and scenario analyses.
• Evaluate company strategy, capital allocation, industry dynamics, and macro developments.
• Engage with management and industry participants for primary research.
• Develop, present, and defend investment recommendations based on research.
• Support ongoing monitoring of portfolio companies and catalysts.
• Prepare investment memoranda and updates for internal discussions.
• Collaborate with teams to incorporate technology, policy, market and sustainability insights.
• Uphold fiduciary duties and compliance standards.
• Travel to Galvanize offices and events as needed.
• Promote inclusion and collaboration across the firm.
• Evaluate governance and environmental considerations of investments.
