Job summary

GHD is seeking a motivated energy transition advisory consultant to help clients define strategy, plan investment and decarbonisation pathways. You will support project delivery with research, analysis and stakeholder engagement.

Joining our London-based team, you will work with senior colleagues to develop clear client-ready recommendations and contribute to proposals and market insights in a collaborative, flexible hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• Typically around 3–6 years’ relevant experience in consulting, advisory, strategy, policy, infrastructure, energy, utilities, sustainability or a related field.
• Experience supporting client-facing projects, ideally within UK energy, infrastructure, utilities, public sector, regulated markets or asset-intensive organisations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and structured thinking skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills for client-facing materials.

Responsibilities

• Support defined work packages across energy transition strategy, commercial advisory, decarbonisation planning and transformation.
• Undertake research, analysis, benchmarking and stakeholder engagement to help develop clear, evidence-based recommendations.
• Contribute to high-quality client deliverables, including reports, presentations, options assessments, business cases and implementation plans.
• Support project management activities, including planning tasks, tracking progress, managing actions and contributing to quality control.
• Work with client teams and internal specialists to gather insight, test findings and support practical implementation.
• Contribute to proposals, market insight, capability development and knowledge sharing across the Commercial Advisory business.
• Collaborate with colleagues across advisory, engineering, environment, digital and project delivery teams to support integrated solutions for clients.
