Job summary

Centrica plc invites graduates to join a structured two-year programme in Greater London. You will complete three eight-month placements, rotating across trading, optimisation, gas, power, LNG, origination, finance and risk. You’ll learn through hands-on projects from day one and develop technical and behavioural skills.

You’ll be supported by mentors and a strong development framework, with opportunities for international placements, including offices abroad.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:1 degree in a numerical subject and a masters.
• Strong commercial awareness with an interest in energy markets.
• Experience using programming and analytics with Python, MATLAB, C to build models and insights.
• Confident communicator and collaborative problem solver.

Responsibilities

• Participate in three eight-month placements across trading, optimisation, finance and risk.
• Work with experienced specialists to tackle real-world business challenges from day one.
• Contribute to commodity contracts and trading strategies using data-driven analysis.
