Job summary

Axle Energy is seeking an Analytics Engineer to own the daily operations at the heart of UK energy trading, building data pipelines and analyzing flexibility markets. You will collaborate cross-functionally and ensure settlements are reviewed and processes run smoothly.

The role requires strong SQL and Python skills, sharp analytical abilities across MW, kWh and £, and a drive to combat climate change in a fast-moving environment. Hybrid office arrangement in London area.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL and Python for data analysis and automation.
• Strong analytical skills using MW, kWh, and £ units.
• Motivation to combat climate change.
• Comfort operating in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.

Responsibilities

• Own daily operations for UK energy trading, including daily trading processes and settlements.
• Debug edge cases across trading, asset registration and settlement processes.
• Identify revenue/delivery risks and mitigate them proactively.
• Communicate insights clearly to engineering and commercial teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with DSOs and UK market regulators.
